Since 1891, Fred Finch Youth Center has changed the lives of over 20,000 children - children who have been frequently abused, neglected, and abandoned - giving them strength, knowledge and hope. One of the largest non-profits in the East Bay, They are most often associated with their residential programs, education, family and individual therapy, and as a safe haven for troubled youth. In recent years, they have dramatically expanded services to implement community-based mental health and social service programs, and have adjusted residential programs to serve a specific population of critically underserved youth: those dually diagnosed with both developmental disabilities and emotional impairment. In 2006, the San Francisco Bay Area Region of John Laing Homes was happy to sponsor the Summer Youth Program at Fred Finch. We will continue to support these important programs for Bay Area youth. |
