Both the Greenspoint Regional Mall and the Willowbrook Regional Mall are located within the area served by the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce, providing extensive shopping opportunities at major department stores.

Northwest Houston Golf "&" Tennis-

Golfing and tennis are popular local sporting activities with several fine private country club courses located within the area such as Champions, Raveneaux, Willow Creek and Northgate. Public courses exist at Augusta Pines, Bear Creek, Gleannloch Farms, High Meadow Ranch, Longwood, Cypresswood, WindRose, and Houston Oaks. The Treeline public course is found to the north near State Highway 249. In addition to these courses found within the 1960 area, the five-course Woodlands complex is located a short drive to the north.

Many tennis courts have been built in the area's subdivisions and parks.

The Centrum, a 900-seat performance hall and community center at Cypresswood Drive, is now open and is not only a performing arts theatre, but serves as a satellite for the Houston Museum of Fine Arts, under the direction of Cypress Creek Foundation of the Arts and Community Enrichment (FACE).
