Golfing and tennis are popular local sporting activities with several fine private country club courses located within the area such as Champions, Raveneaux, Willow Creek and Northgate. Public courses exist at Augusta Pines, Bear Creek, Gleannloch Farms, High Meadow Ranch, Longwood, Cypresswood, WindRose, and Houston Oaks. The Treeline public course is found to the north near State Highway 249. In addition to these courses found within the 1960 area, the five-course Woodlands complex is located a short drive to the north.
